Shannon Moore |
Sifu Moore has been Training in Traditional Wing Chun 20 Years.
Introduced
to Wing Chun by Sifu John Clayton AND Grand Master William Cheung in
1986.
Invited by GrandMaster Cheung... |
... to be a direct descendent practitioner under him (GrandMaster)
in 2005. Competed successfully in regional and national Full contact
competitions. Has been considered by peers to be one of the top
fighting Sifu's in the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association. Knocked
out Sifu Joe Sayah in less then 60 seconds and exchanged with a head
warrior monk of the Shaolin temple while on China Tour in 2004. Is
highly respected by his students for generosity and willingness to
share his MA and WC knowledge freely. Nicknamed by the Shaolin Monks
Sifu Dai Saan (Big Mountain) for his size but gentle nature.
While on tour of China in 2004, Sifu Moore had the great fortune to
be trained directly by the head warrior Monk of Shaolin inside the
Shaolin Temple in Song Shan China. Sifu Moore was trained in a
internal special program of ChanWu (Zen & Wushu) and received his
official certification of attachment to Shaolin Temple directly from
the most Venerable Head Abbott Shi Yongxin. Sifu Moore's philosophy
supports the concept that the primary function of the martial arts
is the perfection of a person's life. Perfection, in this case,
encompasses the preservation of health, transcending to a higher
mental and physical level, and the improvement of personality and
temperament. Sifu Shannon currently holds a 10th level ranking and
is certified by Grand Master William Cheung to teach the complete
art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He currently teaches classes in Columbia
Maryland and is known for his "practical real life" teaching and
training methods to apply to modern society and tournament
situations. |
